Adobe is pleased to announce the arrival of Flash® Lite™ 3. New key features of Flash Lite 3 include video (FLV) support, improved web browsability with support for most Flash 8 content, and improved performance. Flash Lite 3 devices are expected to begin shipping in late Q4/early Q1.

The Developer version of Flash Lite 3 is coming in late November. The Flash Lite 3 developer edition is a standalone player and will allow developers to test and play back SWF files that are published as Flash Lite 3. Note that the Flash Lite 3 developer edition does not support the mobile phone web browser as a plug-in, or other content types such as wallpapers and screensavers. It is meant only for developers and not for consumers to download. |

| This update contains 49 new device profiles, as well as updates to 56 existing profiles. Important! Before downloading Update #4, you must FIRST download and install the Flash Lite 3 Update for Device Central CS3. If you install the Flash Lite 3 Update afterwards, you will lose the updated device profiles and will need to re-download Device Profile Update #4. |
