Speakers:
James Ward
James Ward, a Technical Evangelist for Flex at Adobe, is also Adobe’s JCP representative to JSR 286, 299, and 301. Much like his love for mountain climbing, James enjoys programming for the endless new discoveries, elegant workarounds, summits, and valleys it provides. Like climbing, technology has brought him many adventures, including: Pascal and Assembly back in the early 90’s; Perl, HTML, and JavaScript in the mid 90’s; then Java and many of its frameworks beginning in the late 90’s. Today, he primarily uses Flex to build beautiful front-ends for Java-based back-ends. Prior to Adobe, James built a rich marketing and customer service portal for Pillar Data Systems.
Christophe Coenraets
Christophe Coenraets worked at Powersoft, then a part of Sybase, from 1994 to 2000. In 1996, he started working with Java and became the technical evangelist for the company's Java and Internet Application Division. He then joined Macromedia as the technical evangelist for JRun, the company's J2EE application server. It is here that Christophe started working on Rich Internet Applications and on ways of integrating Flash front-ends with J2EE back-ends. Christophe is currently a Senior Evangelist for Macromedia's new developer-centric Rich Internet Applications initiative and for the last ten years, a regular speaker at conferences worldwide.
